Free School Holiday Workshops

The workshops will run over 3 days and conclude with a short, informal showing! All classes are taught by trained professionals and qualified teachers. Whilst your child is taking their class, you could pop around the corner to one of Annandale’s famous cafes for a chat, coffee and cake!

When: 14, 15, 16 July, 2009,
Where: 81 Johnston St, Annandale.
Time: Monday 9:30am - 4pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 10am - 4pm.
Who: Children in years 3-6 and 7-10 at school.

Drama: Your child will learn about communication, confidence and team work through dramatic techniques such as improvisation, speech, movement and melodrama. In these sessions students will be guided through improvisations and script work that explore different characters & scenarios.
Dance: In these sessions, your child will get to experience some fun fitness through movement and dance. The dance sessions will teach your children basic hip hop technique. These sessions will cater for beginners to advanced! Your child will be challenged to expand their kinesthetic awareness through exploration; set routines and choreography.
Art: This is an exciting opportunity for your kids to learn about Australian flora and fauna through chalk art! In the art sessions students will have the opportunity to create their own chalk mural and then transfer their design onto the community pavement in Annandale for the public to see!
Circus: This is an exciting opportunity for your child to learn basic acro-balance and juggling skills. They will even get to take their own, home made juggling balls home with them!
Music: Each student will learn about rhythm, musical instruments and basic vocal technique. The music sessions will be a fun exploration that will cater for beginners to advanced!
It is advised your child wear some comfortable exercise gear and good shoes for all workshops. It is also up to you, their parent, to supply your child with the following:
