SUNDAY WORSHIP GATHERINGS ONLINE NOW-

Alert: The Jordan Cafe will now be providing takeaway meals only for the time being! We will be open Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (1 - 3 pm), there will be no sit-down meal service but instead we will offer takeaway meals, tea / coffee and the offer of support. Bible studies are on hold till further notice.

Please also note, all our other related Jordan Cafe activities: Monday Nights, Find-Out Fridays and Thursday Night Chapel are on hold for the time being.

We are a community of Christians in the inner-west of Sydney, passionate about following Jesus, walking alongside the vulnerable and living God’s good news story with creativity and love.

Our vision is to see people and communities transformed through God’s love that’s experienced in all parts of our lives and our society.

At Newtown Mission, we believe every person has the right to feel safe, please read our safety and protection policy here. You can download the incident report form here.

Connect

We would love to get to know you. Our Sunday gatherings are a great place to start; you can join us for our community’s life together of praise, sharing life, prayer and engaging with the Bible. There’s always an open invitation to coffee and tea before, during and after our Sunday gatherings in Newtown (even if we can’t guarantee it’s as good as you’ll find in a King St café!).

Compassion

Compassion is at the heart of Newtown Mission. The Jordan Café on King St is a meeting place for free meals and a chat, along with other support, medical and legal services. It’s a place of welcome, friendship and community where we walk together through the ups and downs of life. You’re welcome to come along for a meal or to volunteer as part of the team.

Creativity

We love the creativity of the inner-west and see it as one of God’s gifts to the world! At our Centre at Annandale (and in Newtown and Tempe) we open up a space for people to express and discover their creativity, engage with God and questions of life and faith  through arts and culture, and join together  in creative projects around shared concerns for justice and social transformation.
