Jordan Cafe

Jordan Café is part of Newtown Mission, a compassionate community organisation dedicated to supporting people experiencing hardship, homelessness, social isolation, and food insecurity throughout Sydney’s Inner West.

More than just a café, Jordan Café provides a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where people can gather in dignity and friendship. Through free meals, practical support, and meaningful community connection, the café offers hope, care, and a sense of belonging to all who walk through its doors.

Free Community Meals

Every Wednesday and Friday from 1:00pm–2:30pm, Jordan Café opens its doors to provide a free hot lunch, along with tea and coffee, fresh salads, sandwiches, and fruit for members of the community.

On Thursday evenings, following the 6:00pm worship service, the café again welcomes guests from 7:00pm–8:00pm for a free community dinner, creating a warm and supportive space to share food, conversation, and connection.

Jordan Café relies on the kindness, generosity, and dedication of volunteers, donors, and community partners who help make these meals (up to 400 per week) and services possible each week.

Every Year on Christmas Day the Jordan cafe is full of cheer, decorations, song and spirit where it hosts Christmas lunch with over 120 meals are provided.
